Furthermore, all products from Natural Paving are CE marked to ensure they meet with strict EU regulations that were introduced in 2013. European standards EN1341 (flagstones), EN1342 (pavers) and EN1343 (kerbs) specify the requirements and test methods for each of these. The CE testing covers areas similar to ASTM including water absorbency, flexural strength and frost resistance.
All natural stone products have been tested to show the various properties of each stone and how it is likely to react under different circumstances.

A masterful crafting of cleft natural limestone, the ‘Classicstone’ Steel Blue has natural a completely texture impressed upon it by the elements over the eons. These hand-split pavers come in ice blue-grey with occasional copper, and have low color and shade variation within the range, giving it a relatively uniform appearance compared to its peers. When exposed to sunlight over time, the stone will gradually lighten. Another great quality of this stone is its strength. When tested, the stone proved to have a flexural strength of 26.1 Mpa, and even when frozen and thawed, it only lost 0.8 Mpa of that. Additionally, during saturation testing, it soaked up a mere 0.2% water even during full saturation, which means it runs little or no risk of algae growth or staining.

With 26.1 Mpa of flexural strength - a measure of how much bending stress a paving unit can sustain before breaking - the Promenade is extremely sturdy and reliable. Even when frozen to -40 degrees Fahrenheit and thawed, it only lost a measly 0.8 Mpa of that immense strength.
